A COLLECTIVE Of Professional Businesses
The Tasman Service Group is a collective of businesses who specialize in the design, fabrication, abrasive blasting and painting of steel projects. The collective comprises of Piper & Harvey Steel, Tasman Grit Steel Cleaning and just recently TKT Solutions. The combined experience and completed projects of the collective exceeds anyone in regional NSW. We produce savings for clients by being a one stop shop for all your steel services. We are the only collective in Wagga Wagga who can produce the best quality workmanship without compromising on price or service. Services
Design and fabrication
We can design and fabricated any structure. Size is no limitation; with a 20 acre business location size and storage are easy. Trial assembly of projects is possible before sending to site. Meaning no problems with site installation.
Structural Drafting
We can design and produce steel construction drawings using 2d and 3d licensed software. All drawings are detailed ready for fabrication. We can also produce 3D models of completed projects before project commencement.
Weld Repairs
We can repair various steel items. Mining industry equipment, crack testing and repairs and hard facing of earth moving equipment. All our repairs are done by competent and qualified tradesman.
Welding Certification
Projects which require welding certification are no problems. All tradesman have been compliance tested and all projects with welding certification are recorded and passed onto the client.
CNC Plasma Cutting
We can cut metal sheet from 1mm – 25mm. This includes aluminium, brass, stainless steel, corten, bisalloy and mild steel. Send us your DXF file or a sketch and we can design and cut what ever you require.
CNC Break Press
Our 350 tonne Break Press has a 4m bed capable of pressing up to 20mm plate. Its CNC capabilities make for easy repetition of parts production and large orders. Make light work of large pressing jobs with accuracy and machine quality finish.
Guilotine
Our Guillotine has a 3.6m cutting blade. Cutting capabilities up to 12mm sheet. This includes stainless steel which is always difficult if machine capacity is not adequate. With automated backstop we can process large volumes of miscellaneous sized sheets to meet your production lead times.
Abrasive Blasting
Need something large cleaned up? No worries! We own one of the largest blast booths in the Riverina. Back the semi trailer straight in! If its bigger than that we have a 5 Acre lay-down yard which our portable Blast equipment will handle. We can clean and prepare anything for any surface coating or application. Size or complexity is no limitation
Spray Painting
With a 200m2 Spray Painting booth we can tackle just about any size project in any conditions. Raining or Minus 5 degrees outside? No worries! With temperature control we can paint all year round. When project deadlines are important speak to our Tasman Grit team; they will work with you to ensure combined success.
Specialized Coating Systems
There is so much more to Spray painting than people realize. Apart from looking aesthetically pleasing there is also protection from rust, corrosion and atmospheric conditions. Want to paint a car? Thats more for an auto spray painter; want to paint steelworks that are submerged in seawater, mining equipment, or fireproofing building structural steelworks? Come see us!
Car Bodies and parts
Whilst we are not auto spray painters, we can Abrasively clean and undercoat car parts prior to rust repairs and auto spraying. Worried about warping or buckling doors or panels? Don’t buy into the hype about soda or wet blasting. With the right operator and the right equipment car parts are no problems. How else do you think the car industry cleaned parts for all those years before wet blasting came along? Wet Blasting is the equivalent of a reverse camera for those who can’t park a car.
Coating QA Compliance
Once a project has been painted, how do you know you are getting what you’ve paid for? Our Tasman Grit branch can set your mind at ease. All specialized coatings are conducted in accordance with Australian Standards. This means we have the quality assurance to support our work. When pricing around ask other applicators what their Q.A protocol is? Tasman Grit is an approved applicator for Jotun and Dulux Australia, this is a result of their compliance and trade practices.
Out of the ordinary
We never like to say ‘no we can’t.’ We will always strive to find a way to solve a problem and work with our clients to achieve desired outcomes. In our tenure we have had some amazing projects with exceptional clients, who have worked with us to achieve fantastic things in local communities. Projects of Note
Located on Northbourne Avenue in Canberra you will notice olive colored light Poles. These were manufactured and painted right here in Wagga. The specific paint system required controlled conditions for application and being the middle of a Winter at the time of the project; Only we could achieve these conditions. Depicted below is a batch of poles ready to be coated with anti graffiti polymer olive paint.
